Hope this makes you laugh!

This Week……….Hope this makes you laugh!

Firstly…….

Recently I asked for help to fund a homeless lady into a van she could call ‘home’ until a pension–appropriate unit becomes available.

(She has been told this could take well over a year).

Irene is a beautiful angel who spends her entire life helping other homeless people (and many years ago helped me myself immensely).

My very deepest thanks and my very warmest appreciation to everyone who was able to respond: I am so very, very grateful (and I know that Irene is immensely grateful, too!!).

Another dear friend is now sourcing a suitable van for her.

So please accept my deepest thanks for your generosity!!!

I recently badgered you with 2 questionnaires designed to help you embrace more of your ‘inner-positive’ self.

Many have told me they’re embracing the challenge – so I thought I should balance those challenging activities with a bit of fun…..

A woman arrived at the Gates of Heaven.

While she was waiting for Saint Peter to greet her, she peeked through the gates.

She saw a beautiful banquet table.

Sitting all around it were her parents and all the people she loved who had died before her.

They saw her and began shouting greetings to her, “Hello! How are you?! We’ve been waiting to see you!”

When Saint Peter came by, the woman said to him “This is such a wonderful place! How do I get in?”

“You have to spell a word,” Saint Peter told her.

“Which word?” the woman asked.

“Love.”

The woman correctly spelled “L-o-v-e” and Saint Peter welcomed her into Heaven.

About a year later, Saint Peter approached the woman and asked her to watch the Gates of Heaven for him that day.

While the woman was guarding the Gates, her husband arrived.

“Well, I’m really surprised to see you!” the woman exclaimed.

“How have you been?”

“Oh, I’ve done really well since you died, actually,” her husband replied.

“I married that beautiful, young nurse….. and then I won the lottery!

I sold the little house you and I lived in and bought a huge mansion.

And my new wife and I have travelled all around the world, having a great time and really enjoying ourselves.

In fact, we were on vacation in Cancun when I went water-skiing today. I fell and hit my head, so here I am……

Anyway, how do I get in?”

“You have to spell a word,” his ex-wife told him.

“Which word?” her husband asked.

“Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis,” she replied.

Okay, you can laugh now!

And yes, it IS both a recognized medical condition & the longest word in the English language.

Have a happy, loving, positive week!
