This Week……….One Family.
Quite a few people write to me regularly, outside this newsletter.
(I answer every email received).
One recently wrote:
‘The most dangerous illusion is not that of those considered insane, but of those who believe they are always right……the likes of Putin, Trump, Pol Pot, Edi Amin,
Hitler, Gadaffi, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, etc’.
Another wrote to remind me it was International Peace Day today.
I replied wondering how the world could “…..find peace when one of its foremost “leaders” talks incessantly about “beating our adversaries”……and no other world leader stands up to rebuke that language by suggesting instead that we are one world family…”.
But one world family is what we truly are.
One family.
One family that simply yearns to love all its members.
Just like Lot’s wife.
Lot’s wife was told NOT to turn around and look back toward Sodom after they’d left.
But when she heard the explosions of war she DID turn around – and so was turnedinto a pillar of salt.
Christians claim this was a punishment for her disobedience.
They’re totally wrong.
In ancient times salt was their equivalent of gold.
And it was transported from the salt mines to the cities on the back of camels…….in columns for ease of transport.
In other words……it was the ancient world’s version of a solid column of gold.
So whilst she was told to safeguard her eyesight from the glare of war….in spite of these instructions….her heart simply turned toward her children, still in that city.
She lived from her heart. Totally.
That wasn’t a sin.
That was the ultimate expression of the Divine: Love.
Isn’t it time the inhabitants of Earth removed from influence everybody who insanely thinks that everyone else is an adversary and instead start to plan society based on love, respect, help, gratitude and kindness?
Isn’t it time we all acted as columns of salt???
Isn’t it time we all came together as one large loving family?
That’s not a change the insane can create.
Only you and I can do that.
And only from Love.
