I believe it’s so important – right now in world history – that I feel the need to share it with you, regardless of whether you read my books or not ……

The world becomes more automated every day.
Personal freedoms see to be regularly trammelled and the “common good” seems to require extensive authoritarian rule in every area of our lives…..
Mordechai: So….now you want to know if the world is heading toward a planet of comfort and convenience, a true Shangri-la or a planet of conformity and personal annihilation?
Me: Well, that would greatly interest myself and most of my friends……
Interest you – or freak you out?
I guess it all depends on the answer……
Well, that depends on each and every one of you…..you all have the power to change the flow and direction of history.
And you can do so, relatively easily, by choosing outcomes as a group that benefit you rather than inhibit you……
Maybe if, for starters, I asked what’s the worst outcome that currently faces humankind in the next 100 years?
Seriously?
Seriously.
Let’s limit it to the next fifty years, alright……?
Okay…..
It’s your technology.
There are literally thousands of you working away diligently at creating a technological world of amazing ingenuity.
This is what will destroy your society.
How?
Is it not obvious…..?
No…….
Let me picture it for you…..
Not so long ago you had telephones in your homes that allowed you to speak to one another via telephone lines.
Next you had telephones in your pockets that allowed you to instantly speak to one another via microwave signals.
Then you had telephones in your pockets that allowed you to instantly message one another.
Then instantly see one another.
Then instantly film one another and anything else.
Then group call one another,
Then instantly send mail to one another.
Then have one’s whereabouts instantly tracked and registered.
Then instantly be navigated from point A to B and C.
Then be advised of the latest news, views, sports and weather.
Then be urged to buy this or that or these or those…
Then be advised of the latest road closures, work mandates, social rules and medical regulations……
And with each new technological advancement, the required technology shrinks in size until it will neatly fit into a small implant on the side of your head.
You will then be asked to please await further instructions……
I don’t find that very funny.
Who said it was funny?
Those that agree to the implant will have freedoms of movement; those who oppose the implant will become undesirable outcasts.
Implanted with new thoughts, new beliefs, new instructions of every kind, you will no longer have to concern yourself with affairs of commerce, politics, the environment or health.
Directives will be effortlessly downloaded and disseminated to you, as if from ‘within’, thus ensuring your total compliance.
Civil disobedience and alternate viewpoints will become an historical anomaly.
You will then be able to focus on your own productivity and enjoy the benefits of being successfully connected and part of “the network”……
I don’t find that the least bit amusing.
Nor should you.
I am simply indicating the path your world is currently moving down.
It need not be so.
You may, as a community, insist on another, more humane way forward……
And that is?
The way of your heart………
