I guess I’ve always been an ‘outsider’, a ‘loner’, never really fitting in with most organised religions or agreeing with many of their beliefs.
And today’s topic is a good example why……
I’d like to suggest to you that there is no such ‘thing’ as ‘evil’.
I’m not saying it doesn’t exist.
Obviously, it does.
But nothing exists as a ‘thing’ we can call ‘evil’…….
And that’s because ‘evil’ – as a ‘thing’ – doesn’t exist.
Hear me out before you close me down…..
Evil is what we call the space (and the activity) where Love is absent.
It’s the ABSENCE of Love.
Love is the real ‘thing’……evil is its absence.
From this you can easily deduce that where ‘love’ exists ‘evil’ doesn’t.
Where ‘evil’ exists, ‘love’ is absent…..
Life flourishes with Love.
Love is the purpose, the meaning and the true expression of Life.
It also dies without the nourishment and sustenance of Love.
On the other hand, evil – the absence of love – extinguishes Life.
It is the death of existence, of the expression of life.
Indeed ‘evil’ is even the backward spelling of ‘l-i-v-e’.
Evil flourishes where Love is absent.
But Evil doesn’t exist where Love is abundant.
So this week let us ask ourselves:
– In what ways do I create evil through the absence of Love?
– How can I best embrace love in all aspects of my life?
– How can I best express more of the Love I (already) AM?????
