This week I am sharing a further message from Lynne McTaggart regarding the concept of “healing by intention”.
This relates to her own experience with her own family….and I add a short experience of my own….
“………my husband Bryan’s 79-year-old mother, Edie, was diagnosed with end-stage breast cancer a few years ago.
Her general practitioner was unequivocal in his prognosis that she had about three months to live and suggested that we put her affairs in order and look into hospice care right away.
Needless to say, Edie was heartbroken and a few days later, she collapsed in the street, which seemed to confirm the doctor’s prediction.
But rather than simply resigning ourselves to her fate, we decided to take her to see a doctor named Patrick Kingsley, who had a reputation for treating end-stage cancers with remarkable success.
At the appointment, I observed firsthand as Dr Kingsley examined Edie.
Her GP had recoiled at her cancer-ravaged breast, but Dr Kingsley simply shrugged his shoulders. “Oh, we can handle that,” he said.
Dr Kingsley offered an integrative treatment, all the while assuring Edie that she was not only going to survive, but would be back to
living a vibrant life fairly quickly.
Six months later, Edie just happened to see her original doctor in the street one day, and he was shocked to see her alive.
At his request, she agreed to return to his clinic for an examination, where he was stunned to find that the cancer that was so impossible to treat, that he was so convinced would kill her in short order, had completely disappeared!
While Dr Kingsley’s treatment regimen and our family’s support were central to the process, to us the most important element of all in Edie’s recovery was Dr Kingsley’s hopeful words.
That hope and those words may have been the most powerful medicines of all”.

An example from my own experiences relates to a man who had facial and upper body tumours and wasn’t expected to live.
He had heard about the Faith Healers of the Phillipines and so had booked a trip to see them.
He stayed with them for just a few weeks and then returned home.
Over the next month all his tumours shrank significantly or Disappeared entirely. He was ecstatic.
He returned to normal, healthy life.
Six months later he brought me a double page article in the ‘Sydney Daily Telegraph’ that stated that the Faith Healers of the Phillipines were quacks and charlatans.
He was utterly distraught.
Within weeks all his tumours returned and he died within 90 days.
It was a tragic example that highlighted the reality that our thoughts have immense creative power and can both heal or crush us.
