I, ME, MYSELF AND MINE…..

The above photo shows an exquisite  gold pendant of two facing wasps which was discovered in an ancient Minoan cemetery in Crete.

It is at least 3,800 years old.

That’s roughly twice the age of ‘civilisation’ since Jesus.

The goldsmith combined several techniques to create the piece — filigree, granulation, repoussé and incised decoration.

It indicates that an exceptionally talented society existed in Crete.

Similar artistry has been found across the world – from Siberia to China, South America to Canada, Portugal to Finland, India to Laos, Egypt to Southern Africa.

Exceptional sculpture, art, jewellery, ceramics, clothing, architecture and mechanical instruments the purpose of which we still don’t understand.

What happened to all those civilisations? And why?

In 1991 Mordechai said:

“..the planet Earth has once again achieved the Power of human self-destruction. It has been thus so many times before”.

In other words, this isn’t our first attempt at advancement.

He continued:

“And now the time is drawing near when you must learn the lessons of  your ‘being’ or suffer, once again, the loss of all you be.”

The 6pm News surely indicates the accuracy of that prediction!

So what should we do?

Well, much of the problem boils down to “I, Me, Myself and Mine”….

I’m not referring to our selfishness and greed (although these are very unfortunate widespread traits in our society) but to a more basic issue: we experience and express life purely from the perspective of “me”….

What does that mean?

Simply that we view life as if we were individual, self-functioning, independently operating, material Beings…rather than interdependent, inter-linked, interwoven, spiritual movements forming constantly evolving panoramas that reflect our mental and emotional states.

“I, Me, Myself and Mine” is why we are often sad, hurt, disappointed, depressed, unfulfilled, unwell and searching for “something else” (for some of us almost anything else would do!!).

This not a criticism: I’m as much a victim as are many others.

The solution is easy – but it obviously isn’t easy to implement.

If it were we wouldn’t have had so many civilisations rise and fall – hundreds! – since Spirit – masked as mankind and formed as a more perceptive animal – first walked upon this planet.

We have simply forgotten who we are.

Some try to remember for an hour or so on Sundays.

Others spend 30 minutes a day contemplating their possible reality.

But very few people walk around being who/what they actually are!

And yet, that is our only real purpose!

It’s not to make a motza of money.

Or to have the most awesome sex or job or house or holiday.

Or to run faster, jump higher or walk further than anyone else.

It’s not even to be the most famous, most popular, most honoured or most revered media, medical, musical or sports star…..

It’s simply to be Spirit having a Human adventure that is both enriching and fulfilling as well as giving of its Light without purpose and giving of its Love without expectation.

Spirit simply being ‘a Being’……

Frankly, I believe that we still have time.

We can awaken to who we really are and start practicing being it.

We can encourage others to do likewise.

And we can change the direction of our society.

That way, in two thousand years time, when someone finds one of Trudi’s painted pet rocks they won’t have to marvel at how artistic some people must have been in the lost civilisation of the 2000’s……

Peace be within You!!!
