It has been pointed out to me that the example I recently gave of Jesus meeting the blind man resulted in the blind man regaining his sight.
Are such “miracles” available today?
My answer is a definite ‘YES”.
In the Bible, Jesus is reported to have totally “healed” over sixty people of leprosy, paralysis, sickness, deafness and blindness. The bible also suggests he healed many others (without being too specific).
Yet, he never said “he” did it…..rather it was God working through him.
For him it was easy because he truly believed that “I and my Father are one”.
Whenever we act/work/play/live with that penultimate understanding (that “Me and God are one”) miracles have the possibility of happening if it is meant to be…..
For example, when I was much younger a lady named Joyce brought her sister to see me at New Veda, the Qld spiritual retreat I ran at the time.
The sister was seriously ill with cancer.
I held both of Joyce’s hands as a loving greeting on their arrival and then proceeded to help her sister.
On the way home they talked about their visit.
The sister thought I had a squeaky voice and the trip had been a waste of time.
But Joyce wasn’t so sure!
Before arriving, she had suffered from acute rigidity in her hands which had forced her to resign from her position as a Clay Teacher at TAFE.
Yet now her hands were completely flexible: no pain, no rigidity at all……
Her sister, sadly, died.
Joyce went on to become the popular Chair of our Brisbane Church and was able to return to work at TAFE as a Technical Arts Teacher as well as running after-hour classes underneath her own home for underprivileged children two nights a week……
A lady was brought to me in Newcastle. She was suffering from immense pain due to brain tumours. She had been told that death could come at any time.
She sought relief. We talked. I gave her healing energy.
Her pain disappeared.
I proposed she return to her homeland, spend time with the family she had missed: dance, drink, hug, let them know how much she loved them……and then return to Newcastle to pass over with her own personal family around her.
She enjoyed a wonderful few months overseas, pain-free.
On her return flight her pain returned; and shortly thereafter she passed……
Are “miracles” possible? Yes!
What is the secret of the miracle?
To know that “I and my Father/God are ONE”…..
And that all happens safely, as is meant.
Even “death”……
But the miracles we all seek only happen……if it is meant to be.
You and I are never placed in charge of outcomes!!
Now, isn’t that a relief?!?!?!?
