Firstly, regarding my ‘future work options’ article…..
In 1900, four out of every 10 working Americans worked on a farm.
By 1930, just two out of every 10 were farm workers due to machinery. A drop of 50%.
By 1970, just four in 100 were farm workers due to improved machinery. A further drop of 500%
By 2000, fewer than two in 100 as machines took over the work. A further drop of over 50%.
And
Only 5% of American Uni students who graduated this year are working in their field of study.
Another 45% are working in a job that doesn’t use their university skills.
And the other 50% of all Uni ‘grads’ are still unemployed and looking…….
Also, regarding my recent article on ‘insanity in the medical system’…….
Dr Rosenhan, a psychiatrist, experimented with medical competence by admitting specially trained intelligent actors into psychiatric hospitals to see how they fared and how they were treated.
He found that most were denied release by the hospitals (in spite of the “patients” strenuously affirming and proving their competence) “due to their confirmed insanity”.
The psychiatrist then wrote a book regarding the experiment called On Being Sane in Insane Places.
The psychiatric world erupted.
One hospital challenged him to send new pseudo-patients, confident they would catch them out.
Over the next few months, that hospital identified 41 supposed “impostors”.
Yet Dr Rosenhan had sent no one.
So 41 people who were truly mentally unbalanced were tragically evicted, labelled “normal”……
Not a single person they evicted was “mentally healthy”!
The conclusion was unavoidable: diagnosis is not always based on facts.
It is often shaped by expectation.

That’s all you have to do.
That’s all you are ever asked to do.
Are their ignorant, unaware, foolish people out there expressing ugly, nasty thoughts?
Yes. It’s called free choice.
Has this world ever been populated by people who only did good things?
No. Never. Not even in the beginning.
Why do they do and say these things?
Because they’re hurting and haven’t learnt to go within and find their answers.
Will they always be around?
Yes – greed and violence will always be used as a means to express their hurt and fear.
So……breathe slowly……deeply……visualising daffodils in bloom, roses opening, young children playing lovingly……
And silently pray to God with pure thanks for knowing that all you have to do – all you CAN do – is send all hurting people LOVE, PEACE and LIGHT and ask for WISDOM and BEAUTY to fill their hurting minds……..
Go BE like Jesus.
Touch them with the only tools you – or Jesus – were ever given – transmitted LOVE and directed PURE THOUGHT.
