Dystopia is waiting on the doorstep!
Special Note: I normally limit my articles to the strictly spiritual.
However I feel the impetus to respond to the deeply-divisive movement facing society.
So I will do so – just this once. Please excuse this divergence.
Please also take the time to read the entire piece: your thoughts will be respected.

This Week……….Dystopia is waiting on the doorstep.
The first Industrial revolution started about 250 years ago and lasted about 80 years.
During that time the core of society moved from farming other people’s land to working long hours in crude steam-powered factories, mainly creating textiles.
It was exhausting work and paid very little with over half of wages spent on food alone.
Poverty and homelessness was everywhere.
Then, just as things started to improve, the second Industrial revolution began.
It was centred around mass production with steel and factories powered by electricity.
Child labour, continued poverty, poor sanitation and several wars kept many everydayworkers in a terrible condition.
Over the last hundred years things have slowly improved for the ordinary person.
Each revolution has eventually improved the living conditions of the ordinary person.
But it’s been a slow climb to get there.
And now we are all about to face another challenge – the AI Revolution.
The effects of this change will – as before – confront the ordinary family suddenly.
Loss of job. Little income. Sense of helplessness.
The few will become immensely rich – the rest will become significantly poorer.
This year in the US just 4,000 people own 50% of the country’s wealth.
The other 350,000,000 people share the rest.
And the ratio is getting worse every month: the rich are getting richer, the poor are struggling more and more….
The Head of Anthropic, the mega US AI Research and Development company is quoted as saying “AI could be an existential threat to humanity”.
That’s from one of the men who’s developing it!!
Scientists have announced that they have even built a DNA-powered computer that performs calculations using billions of molecules in a tiny drop of water.
The system taps into the laws of physics to create what the scientists describe as a computing system that’s more efficient than the conventional computers that are widely used today.
This will radically reduce the need for architects, accountants, lawyers, doctors, teachers, writers, artists and specialists of almost every ilk.
Put that alongside the development of driverless heavy duty trucks, buses, freight and passenger trains (even about to start in Sydney!), unmanned delivery road services, autonomous aircraft travel, robotic warehouse and factory floors and even mining sites, electronic non-human police and armed defence service personnel (already in service in Asia)……and you have a society that radically reduces the need for truckies, taxi drivers, deliverymen, posties, warehouse staff, retail staff, phone service staff, clerical staff and not nearly as many human police and real people in any of the armed forces (courtesy of the rapidly improving drone and robotic technologies which have already developed so fast and so far as to have secretly placed military weaponry on standby in orbit around the Earth).
I am not trying to scare you or even upset you.
I’m simply sharing what you already know, courtesy of the media.
Dystopia is coming again – and very, very soon.
Unemployment, poverty, homelessness, family breakdowns, drug use, physical violence, environmental ruin and rampant fear and distress are already on the rise.
And it is certain to get a great deal worse before it gets better!
So why do I remind you of the unfortunate obvious?
It’s because this scenario can also be the trigger for attitudinal change – but only if we act.
It’s moments and times like these that can help us to focus on the real (if we let it!)
And the real is that we truly are divine beings of Light and Love.
We don’t need the latest model battery operated car.
We don’t need the latest AI driven mobile phone.
We don’t need the ultra-modern home, complete with Jacuzzi.
We don’t need the latest Paris-fashions for on-field at Flemington.
We don’t need the overseas holiday.
We don’t need the $3million Super package.
We don’t need the 100-inch TV screen, the King size bed ensemble, Espresso Coffee-Maker, automatic Lawn-mower or In-ground spa/pool.
We need one another.
We can always make a job for ourselves.
We can always be creative and design a new way forward.
We can always be a help to others.
We can always let the ‘God Within’ flow through us and help both ourselves and others to heal and prosper in spite of the chaos that might surround us.
This AI Revolution can be the impetus that lifts us out of our blind allegiance to a nonsensical and insane societal structure – and helps us develop a world based on Kindness, Caring, Empathy, Support, Love, Gratitude and Creativity.
It’s our choice.

There’s no need to let the coming changes crush you: they can be the impetus that drives you to discover the ‘awesome you’ silently treading time deep within.
