AGEING AGELESSLY
David Attenborough celebrated his 100th birthday with around 5,000 people at a special concert at the magnificent Albert Hall in London recently.
Splendidly attired, he proudly looked, moved and spoke as if he was no more than 75 years young.
Royalty, the media, the financial, business, church and government elite all attended to honour a man who was always enthralled by, loved, respected, and appreciated Planet Earth and all who share her beauty and her bounty.
Without doubt that was the prime reason he glowed and moved almost agelessly.
Last time you looked in the mirror how were you going?
Are the skin regenerating creams, botox and hydrating liquids winning the fight?
There is another way, you know……
Instead of degenerating from the ‘outside-in’ we can regenerate from the ‘inside-out’.
Instead of starting at the skin we start at the Essential Mind.
That’s because our Essential Mind has no age: it’s age-less: it simply is.
It’s our True Being.
It was ageless when we arrived into our body and it will remain ageless on the day we quit our body.
Of course, if we don’t access it, it will have little effect on our life and we will quickly lose our youthful petals and soon droop in both stem and stamina.
However, when we access and utilize our Essential Mind we find our youthfulness flowers abundantly (regardless of any calendar of years), the sun shines copiously, the rain falls joyfully, people treat one another lovingly, opportunity springs delightedly …….. and all sing the song of gratitude for Life.
So exactly how do we access this seemingly hidden Essential Mind, our True Being? –
It’s really quite simple.
We simply go within and familiarize ourselves with the Loving Spirit we find therein.
Meditation, chant, prayer, mantra, song will all centre our focus on our true being.
Creative Self-Expression – everything from poetry to art to sculpture to music will all refine our deeper appreciation of our True Being.
Voluntary support of people, positive practices and socially enhancing endeavours will further expand our true Self-awareness.
Slowly, gently, our True Being – hidden so deeply within – will shine outward to show us the Ageless Path to follow.
As we embrace – moment by moment, day by day – our ultimately unavoidable True Being we will, like Sir David, relish each rising sun, each screeching galah, each whistling wagtail, each trumpeting elephant, each playful kitten, each clicking dolphin, each neighing horse, each chattering monkey, each tail-wagging dog and each inquisitive human we find on our extraordinary individual journeys across the wide plateau of Planet Earth.
Ultimately, the ‘spirit-child’ within each of us will shine throughout it all……and ‘age’ will simply be a three-letter word signifying the fullness of our experience.
